Drunk Employee Dies After a Workplace Dispute in Kananga, Leyte
A drunk employee in Kananga, Leyte lost his life after being punched by a coworker during a workplace dispute.

On Sunday (December 22, 2024), when a drunken employee passed away after being punched by a coworker. The victim had just attended a Christmas party and decided to stop by a gymnasium on his way home.
There, he spotted his coworker asleep. Out of concern, he attempted to wake him up. However, as the coworker began to respond, the victim misinterpreted his words and punched him.
In retaliation, the coworker struck back, landing a punch on the victim’s jaw. The blow caused the victim to fall, lose consciousness, and later be rushed to the hospital. Unfortunately, despite medical intervention, the victim succumbed to his injuries.
Authorities revealed no underlying motive behind the altercation, stating that it was merely a reaction to the initial punch by the victim. Nonetheless, the coworker now faces charges of homicide for his involvement in the incident.
