Kim Atienza was asked about his former noontime show
Kapuso host Kuya Kim Atienza has this reaction to the Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime’s contract with GMA Network.
Rumors surfaced that Showtime only has until December in the Kapuso network. It was also rumored that it will be replaced by the Kapuso morning variety show TiktoClock.
However, people from TiktoClock denied this. Another rumor was that TAPE Inc. was negotiating with GMA to take the noontime slot once again but then again, this was denied by a source from the production company.
Speaking about this matter, GMA senior vice president Annette Gozon-Valdes shared that the Kapuso network has started its negotiation with It’s Showtime but when she was asked about this, there was no final decision yet if the show will sign a new contract.
Then, a source revealed early this month that the contract renewal of Showtime with GMA is happening soon.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, Kuya Kim Atienza was asked about this matter since he had been part of the Kapamilya noontime show before he transferred to the Kapuso network.
“Ang alam ko ay may nangyayaring negotiation ngayon ang It’s Showtime and GMA. Yun lang ang alam ko sa ngayon,” the seasoned television host said.
Meanwhile, Kuya signed again a three-year contract with GMA Network. He said that he is honored and humbled that the network still wants him and this gave him inspiration.
He also said that being in the Kapuso network, he has so much fun and he feels relevant. Kuya Kim Atienza also thanked the Kapuso bosses for taking care of him and he appreciated the trust they gave to him.
The seasoned TV host also thanked his fans who have been very suportive of him and his shows. He also showed appreciation to his colleagues in GMA.
