Elderly Woman Throws Wood at Passing Car, Driver Hits Her House in Retaliation

Raging Driver Hits House of Elderly Woman After She Throws Wood at His Car

An elderly woman threw a piece of wood at a passing car in Vintar, Ilocos Norte prompting a driver to hit her house in retaliation.

In a CCTV footage, a 74-year-old woman identified as Renie Leaño can be seen throwing a piece of wood at a passing car. After throwing the wood, Leaño quickly went inside her home, leaving the driver to vent his frustration in the house before driving off.

The driver stopped, grabbed a metal rod, and struck the outside of Leaño’s house in response. Leaño later reported the incident to the police, explaining that the car was speeding and almost hit a dog outside her house, which triggered her reaction.

The driver didn’t let it slide, though, and reported Leaño’s actions to the barangay. It’s still unclear if the two have sorted things out or if the tension is ongoing.

This isn’t Leaño’s first run-in with a similar situation. Back in March, she went viral for throwing something at a rider who passed in front of her house. During a sit-down with authorities at the time, Leaño apologized, saying stress got the better of her, and promised not to do it again.

As of this writing, the community is waiting to see how this new clash will be resolved. Hopefully, both sides can cool down and settle things without more drama.
