Miss Universe 2024 Crown was finally revealed
The Miss Universe 2024 crown is from the Philippines and this was unveiled in an event held on Nov. 13 (Nov. 14 in Manila) in Mexico Ciy, Mexico.
Miss Universe is one of the most prestigious beauty pageants in the world (or rather in the universe). In this pageant, prestigious personalities from around the globe have become judges. It also features prestigious prizes for the winning and the elegant crown.
For this, the winning candidate will wear a crown made from the Philippines, based on the article in Inquirer. The crown is named “Lumière de l’Infini” (Light of Infinity).
The Miss Universe 2024 crown is created by Filipino craftsmen using rare south sea pearls harvested off the coasts of Palawan.
Jewelmer, the Philippine-based international luxury jewelry company, created this masterpiece. The company also also provided the “La Mer en Majeste” (Sea of Majesty) crown which was used in the Miss Universe Philippines pageant since 2022.
The “Lumière de l’Infini” (Light of Infinity) is the 13th crown used in the Miss Universe pageant. This is the biggest number compared to any major international pageant. The current crown of Miss World was introduced more than half a century ago in 1972.
For the new Miss U crown, Jewelmer used cultured south sea pearls. Its golden hue is the rarest in the world. It takes four to five years to harvest the pearls from the unique pearl farming process with 377 steps used to sustainably produce them.
Now that the Miss Universe crown is from the Philippines, three of the four major international pageants’ current crowns are made in Southeast Asia. The crown used in Miss International and Miss Earth competitions were made in Vietnam, and these are also adorned with pearls.
The Miss Universe 2024 competition will happen on on Nov. 16 (Nov. 17 in Manila). Days before the competition, the pageant organization released a new rule for the 2025 competition.
