In a recent It’s Showtime episode, Vice Ganda expressed gratitude to TV networks.
It’s Showtime host Vice Ganda thanked the bosses of ABS-CBN, GMA, A2Z, and TV5 for the opportunities they gave to their show.
After ABS-CBN lost its franchise, several of its ongoing shows stopped airing. Mainly, it’s because of having no platform to air them, and while many have left, among the few that stayed and stood through the greatest challenge of the company was the noontime show It’s Showtime.
Showtime, initially, basically became “homeless” but other networks were graceful enough to welcome them and one of the first networks to accept them was A2Z. The reach may not be as wide as ABS-CBN during its glory days but they were welcomed.
After A2Z, TV5Â welcomed them in 2022. However, just when they were finally getting its groove back, the program suffered another blow. TV5 stopped airing Showtime in 2023 to make way for “Eat Bulaga”.
After TV5, GTV, GMA’s sister channel, welcomed them in 2023 and this year, the Kapuso network went all out and fully welcomed the show to their main channel. In March of this year, GMA and ABS-CBN partnered for Showtime which marked a history in television.
With everything the show went through and the hosts who stayed and had faith, Vice Ganda, the leader of their group, thanked the bosses of the networks.
He thanked A2Z saying they will never forget who welcomed them first amid their struggles. He thanked TV5 that despite the short time of their stay on their network, they gave their show a platform.
For GMA, they are grateful for the opportunity and for allowing them to be in their channel and continue the service they do through entertainment. The partnership is no longer for business, it’s for the madlang people.
Lastly, for ABS-CBN which they are most grateful for. The company fought for them and never let them go. The company believed in this and if not for their fate, they would not be celebrating their 15th anniversary on TV.
“Sa lahat ng programa ng ABS-CBN, di ba, isa tayo sa mga pilit nilang pinapanatiling buhay,” Vice said based on the video.
