VP Sara Duterte Speaks on “Mistaken Belief” of Unity, Continuity
SARA DUTERTE – Amid the intensified efforts of the PNP at the Kingdom of Jesus Christ (KOJC) compound, the Vice President apologized to the members for seeking support for then presidential candidate Bongbong Marcos.
Recently, the PNP boosted their efforts in locating KOJC founder and leader Apollo Quiboloy who is faced with complaints not just in the Philippines but also in the United States of America. Several PNP cops were deployed in KOJC compound for the search operation.
The members of KOJC tried to oppose the search activities of the PNP but failed to do so. There were several unfortunate incidents like the death of a KOJC member amid the police operation at the compound of the church.
The PNP did drilling operations in the pursuit to locate an alleged bunker inside the KOJC compound. The authorities failing to locate the Pastor happens amid a multi-million reward money offer for information that could lead to Apollo Quiboloy’s arrest.
The Court of Appeals has recently extended the Freeze Order on Quiboloy’s assets as well as the bank accounts and properties registered under the KOJC. There are speculations and rumors that the Pastor is hiding in Davao City but only his co-accused was arrested in Davao.
Vice Pres. Sara Duterte even jested that Pastor Quiboloy is already in heaven. According to the Vice President, she believes that he is not anymore in Davao City as there was ample time to leave the place.
Previously, the camp of the Pastor revealed that he has set a condition on surrendering to the authorities. He wants Pres. Bongbong Marcos to make a written declaration that he will not be rendered to the United States of America if he surfaces.
Quiboloy’s camp also stressed that the Pastor wants to clear his name in the Philippines. They see th complaints filed against him as “weak”.
Amid the drilling operations and the intensified search activities to find Pastor Apollo Quiboloy happening under the Marcos administration, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte apologized to the KOJC members for seeking support for her then running-mate.
Duterte and Marcos were running-mates in the 2022 Elections. However, recently, there were instances that triggered questions and speculations on the real ties between the President and the Vice President now.
“I was on the mistaken belief that we were together on the platform of unity and continuity. Nagkamali ako kaya hinihingi ko ang patawad ninyo,” the Vice President said at the 39th founding anniversary of KOJC.
Speaking at the event, Vice Pres. Sara Duterte also expressed her family’s thankfulness to the KOJC members for the chance to serve the country. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, she stressed that their family has a huge debt of gratitude to the members of the church.
Vice Pres. Duterte believes that the PNP committed abuse in power with regards to their intensified search operations at the KOJC compound which involved drilling. According to the Vice President, she did not see any bunker or an underground when she visited the compound.
