As a public servant and celebrity, Richard Gomez could easily get people’s attention with a single social media post, just like what happened just recently.

In a now-deleted post, the actor-politician shared his thoughts regarding the traffic situation on the most popular highway in the Philippines. Richard did not like the fact that he spent hours in EDSA just to get to his destination.

“2 hours in EDSA traffic and counting. From Makati, Ayala nasa SM Edsa pa lang ako up to now. Eh QC (Quezon City) and punta ko. 1 or 2 hours pa ba?!” he complained.

Richard also shared his views regarding the bus lane in EDSA. “Ilang bus lang ang gumagamit ng bus lane, bakit hindi buksan during heavy traffic para mas maluwang ang traffic?” the actor-politician suggested.

Because of this Facebook post that Richard Gomez shared on his official Facebook page, he became a trending topic on X, formerly Twitter. It is because netizens on the micro-blogging social media platform are bashing him. He is accused of being entitled or sounding like a privileged individual and just complaining inside his luxury car.

For some netizens, the actor-politician should try riding a bus to understand the predicaments of daily commuters and know the struggles they have to go through every single day. Here are some tweets against Richard.

As of this writing, the actor-politician has not released a statement yet regarding this issue.
