Kapamilya actor Gerald Anderson has this reaction when asked about his girlfriend Julia Barretto working with Joshua Garcia.
Almost four years after, former love team and former real-life couple Joshua Garcia and Julia Barretto got reunited again in a movie. Years back, the former love team decided to tune down their romantic relationship to being friends again and now, with a more mature perspective in life, they were able to work again and their chemistry is just as electrifying as before.
Their film is called “Un/Happy For You” and is currently airing in 300 theaters nationwide. It will soon have an international screening and is directed by Petersen Vargas and written by Kookai Labayen, Crystal San Miguel, and Jen Chuaunsu.
On its first day, JoshLia’s movie earned Php 20 million and among the proudest people of the actress is her boyfriend Gerald Anderson. In a previous article, the actor congratulated Barretto and expressed how she deserves everything she has for the hard work she put on to that project and that he’s always a fan of hers.
This will be shown soon in Canada, Middle East (UAE, Oman, Qatar, Bahrain, KSA), Saipan, Cambodia, Rome, Milan, and Malta.
Reacting to his girlfriend working with her ex-boyfriend, Anderson reacted. According to him, he is just a silent supporter and one of the many reasons why they’re happy for so many years now is because they are supportive of each other.
On working with an ex-partner, it may be awkward but it’s normal in their line of work. He’s been on the same situation and with his girlfriend, he’s just trying to be supportive as possible as he understands the situation.
He’s just trying to be as supportive as possible without stealing the spotlight from her.
Based on the interview, he said, “Pinaghirapan nila yan eh and I know how hard it is to work in a movie na gusto mong mapanuod ng maraming tao. So, you just give it to her. It’s her time.”
