Police Arrest 4 Men for Allegedly Stealing Woman’s Motorcycle
Four men, including two brothers, were arrested after they allegedly stole a woman’s motorcycle in Rodriguez, Rizal.
The 42-year-old victim had just stopped by a nearby store in Barangay San Isidro when the incident happened.
According to local police, the woman was in a hurry because it was raining. In her rush, she accidentally left the key in the ignition. She only stepped away for a minute, but when she came back, she saw a group of men riding off with her motorcycle.

“Isang minuto lang lumabas na agad siya at paglabas nga niya nakita niya sinampahan na ang kanyang motor at agad itinakbo ng grupo na ito,” Rodriguez Municipal Police Station chief of police PLtCol. Paul Sabulao said.
The Rodriguez Municipal Police immediately launched a follow-up operation. They found the suspects hiding in a small hut located in a remote area of the same barangay. Inside, they recovered the stolen motorcycle, along with other dismantled motorcycle parts believed to be from different stolen vehicles.
“Kung medyo natagalan pa tayo nang kaunti doon sa follow-up operation, at hindi agad nakahingi ng tulong ‘yung complainant, kung binalewala niya ay chop-chop na at hindi na niya makikilala ‘yun,” Sabulao added.
Authorities said that if the report had been delayed, the motorcycle could have been chopped into unrecognizable pieces and lost forever. Fortunately, the quick action of both the victim and the police prevented that from happening.
The investigation revealed that the suspects were part of a group involved in stealing and chopping motorcycles in the area. Records show they had previously been jailed for theft and illegal gambling.
Despite the evidence, the suspects claimed innocence, saying they were just loitering in the area and had nothing to do with the theft. However, they are now detained at the Rodriguez Police Custodial Facility and are facing charges of carnapping.
