Motorcycle Thief Faces Imprisonment for the Ninth Time for the Same Crime
A motorcycle thief who has been imprisoned nine times has once again found himself behind bars after being caught stealing a motorcycle.
On Monday (August 11, 2024), the police authorities arrested a man for stealing a motorcycle in Barangay Sto. Domingo, Quezon City. The suspect has been imprisoned eight times prior to the arrest.
According to Police Lieutenant Colonel Fernando Casiano, Station Commander of La Loma Police, the motorcycle owner, a sales rider, reported the theft after discovering his motorcycle missing from where he had parked it near a business establishment.

Upon receiving the report, the police immediately reviewed CCTV footage, which led them to identify and locate the suspect within an hour.
The police successfully recovered the stolen motorcycle, although its top box was missing. During the arrest, they also found the suspect in possession of a loaded firearm, which he had reportedly stolen from a security guard.
Further investigation revealed that the suspect had a history of criminal activities and had been jailed multiple times for various offenses, including robbery, theft, violations of the Violence Against Women and Children (VAWC) Act, illegal gambling, and drug-related charges.
His modus operandi often involved conducting surveillance on potential targets before committing the theft, as seen in this case where he changed clothes before stealing the motorcycle.
The latest arrest marks the ninth time the suspect has been incarcerated. Despite his extensive criminal record, the suspect refused to comment on the charges against him.

The La Loma Police have filed multiple charges against the suspect, including violations of the New Anti-Carnapping Act, the Comprehensive Firearms and Ammunition Regulation Act, and robbery. The authorities continue to investigate his involvement in other crimes in the area.
