Jodi Sta Maria talked about their blended family
Kapamilya actress Jodi Sta Maria recalled the time when she decided to withdraw the case she filed against her ex-husband, Pampi Lacson.
In June 2024, Jodi and Pampi’s marriage was annulled. They were married in 2005 and separated in 2011. They were blessed with a son named Thirdy.
Their separation back then was quite controversial because legal issues surfaced. However, years later, they were able to find the peace they needed. The award-winning actress has a wonderful relationship with her ex-husband Pampi Lacson’s new family, including his partner Iwa Moto.

In a recent interview, based on the article in Bandera, Jodi Sta Maria said that having a blended family has not been easy. She shared how she managed to have a good co-parenting relationship with her ex, which, for others, is difficult to do.
“I’m speaking of my journey, our journey, as a blended family na nag-work for us. Pero it didn’t happen overnight. It was hard. Kasuhan left and right. I mean, we are just so hostile na hindi mo talaga kami mapagsasama sa isang room,” Jodi shared.
The Kapamilya star still remembers the realization he had 13 years ago, while drinking at around 3 a.m. A friend called her. She said to her friend that she was fine, but pointed out that something would happen. The actress opted to have a legal battle against Pampi at that time.

However, a realization came after expressing what she felt amid that situation. “And then sabi ko, ‘Ba’t ganu’n?’ Ang pakiramdam ko kasi, ako ‘yong naagrabyado. Pero bakit parang ako ‘yong nahihirapan? Di ba dapat sila ‘yong mag-suffer,” the Kapamilya star shared.
Until the day came when she decided to withdraw the case against Pampi. At that time, she decided to message her ex-husband as she wanted them to talk and settle the issue between them.
“Then I messaged him, I’m sure nagulat siya na, ‘Ha? Bakit ako minessage nito?’ Sabi ko, ‘Can I meet you in this place, at this time? Let’s talk.’ So, du’n nag-start,’” Jodi Sta Maria shared.
