Class Suspensions for Wednesday (July 24, 2024)
WALANG PASOK – Various local government units have declared class suspensions due to the effects of Typhoon Carina and the southwest monsoon.
Over the past few days, Typhoon Carina and the southwest monsoon continue to bring an inclement weather condition over some parts of the country. The two weather systems bring flooding in several areas.
Many areas have announced class and work suspensions for Wednesday (July 24, 2024). The severe weather is expected to continue affecting Luzon, prompting precautionary measures from local government units.
“In view of the forecasted continuous rainfall brought about by the Southwest Monsoon and Typhoon ‘Carina,’ work in government offices and classes at all levels in the National Capital Region are hereby suspended at 05:00 a.m. today, 24 July 2024,” Malacañang Palace said.

The Office of the Executive Secretary has confirmed that all government work and classes at all levels in Metro Manila will be suspended starting at 5:00 a.m. on July 24. Private companies are encouraged to make their own decisions regarding work suspension based on their specific circumstances.
