Claudine Barretto is happy for the recognition that her son gets
Optimum Star Claudine Barretto reacted to the “heartthrob” tag for her son Santino with her estranged husband actor Raymart Santiago.
Netizens have been gushing over the recent photo of Santino with her mom and dad during the recent celebration of the estranged couple’s daughter Sabina’s birthday. With his heartthrob look, Santino easily caught the attention of the online community.
In a recent interview, based on the article in Inquirer, Claudine was asked about the positive response that netizens have for her handsome son.
The Optimum Star said that as a mother, she is happy to have hear beautiful words for Santino and the recognition he gets from the public. When Claudine Barretto learned that her son is trending on social media, she felt that certain “kilig” as a mother.
She said that her son is really not fond of posing for photos. “Thank you so much sa lahat ng nagpaviral kay Santino. As a mom, nakakakilig talaga,” the actress shared.
Claudine also shared that her son wants to keep his life private. Santino does not like to be called a “nepo baby.” The actress revealed that his son told her not to post his photos on socaial media. However, she is happy that Santino did not get angry when his photos circulated online. Back in 2023, Claudine shared a photo with Santino and her son made her promise not to post this.
She also said that since Santino will be celebrating his birthday on July 19, he might have thought that more photos of him will be posted on social media.
“Okay lang naman sa kanya basta hindi palagi,” she said, adding that this his son’s specific request as he does not want to be teased as a “nepo baby.” Claudine stressed that her son has no desire to enter show business. Although Santino showed some interest in the entertainment industry, he wanted to be behind the camera. For her, his son might be leading to filmmaking or directing.
Claudine Barretto also shared that there has been a lot of inquiries for Santino for commercials and endorsements but he declined.
