Harry Roque’s Letter in POGO Hub “Not Suspicious” as to PAOCC

HARRY ROQUE’S LETTER – A letter bearing the name of the former presidential spokesman was found in a POGO hub in Porac, Pampanga.

Among those that are surrounded by issues right now is the Philippine Offshore Gaming Operator (POGO) hub in Porac, Pampanga. It is the Lucky South 99 Outsourcing Inc. It was found out that it applied for permit as a business processing outsourcing or BPO company in 2019.

It was only in 2021 when the Lucky South 99 Outsourcing Inc. declared itself a POGO. The authorities raided the building on June 4 and June 5. Following the said operations, the executives of the Lucky South could not be found.

Porac Mayor Jing Capil claimed that no business permit was issued to Lucky South in 2024. According to the Mayor, it was on the negative list of the Bureau of Fire Protection for non-compliance.

Based on a recent report on GMA News, a letter bearing the name of former presidential spokesperson Harry Roque was found in the POGO hub in Porac, Pampanga which is surrounded by controversies.

Presidential Anti-Organized Crime Commission (PAOCC) Undersecretary Gilbert Cruz was the one who revealed about the letter that dated back in 2021. It was only found at Lucky South recently.

Speaking at the Saturday News Forum in Quezon City, PAOCC spokesperson Winston John Casio said that Harry Roque’s letter is “innocent” and “not suspicious or criminal nature”. According to him, the PAOCC also found an affidavit of support stating that the former presidential spokesperson will be the sponsor of his then executive assistant’s travel costs.

Based on the report, Casio expressed that Roque was the lawyer of the Whirlwind Corporation which is the firm that leased its property to Lucky South 99. He stressed that it does not constitute any suspicious activity.

Furthermore, the PAOCC spokesperson said that it is the same with finding a document of the special assistant of Roque in one of the buildings “does not also constitute suspicious activity”. There is also no probe on Roque’s former executive assistant.

“I don’t want to impute malice because it would be unfair to [former] Secretary Roque… There is nothing suspicious about it,” Casio expressed.
