Kapuso actor Xian Lim says he is still friends with ex-girlfriend Kim Chiu but it was not him who initiated the split.
After months of speculation that have gone around online, Kapamilya actress Kim Chiu finally ended it by confirming that she and Xian Lim has already separated. In a post, Kim confirmed the KimXi split in real life after almost 12 years of being together.
It was the “end of a love story” that took her a while to say the truth.
In a message for Xian, she expressed, “Thank you for the almost 12 years of beautiful memories together one can never imagine. You will always have a place in my heart. Thank you for showing me what love is.”
The “It’s Showtime!” host requested the public to be understanding as they try to heal and continue to navigate life separately. However, this matter was seemingly not put to rest yet as the actor has been making sly remarks and claims about it in various public guesting and interviews he did.
It was a story ended but not a chapter closed as Xian continued to talk about it and answer questions about it. Just like recently, in an interview with Fast Talk With Boy Abunda, the actor confessed that in their split, he was not the one who initiated it.
He did not go into details about it but said, “To be completely honest I wasn’t the one engaged in the separation, ‘yun lang po siya, it’s that simple.”
Since they separated, they have not seen each other or even had the chance to talk to each other but for them, this is their way of showing respect. When asked if they have remained friends, the actor quipped, “Of course.”
