Direk Cathy Garcia-Sampana reacted to this rumor about Daniel Padilla
Supreme Idol Daniel Padilla is being accused of hindering Kathryn Bernardo from doing the Hello, Love, Goodbye part 2 with Alden Richards and this is the reaction of director Cathy Garcia-Sampana to this.
Kathryn and Alden’s onscreen chemistry was well-accepted by many fans. Just recently, the two celebrities’ sweet encounters revived the KathDen tandem. With this, it was inevitable for fans to anticipate that the HLG sequel is coming soon.
Amid the anticipation for part two of the movie, rumors surfaced that after the success of the movie, it was allegedly planned that the sequel would follow.
However, allegedly, Daniel Padilla went against it. It was rumored that he hindered his then-girlfriend Kathryn Bernardo from doing the HLG sequel. Allegedly, because Daniel did not like that Kathryn would be with Alden again.
In a recent interview by PEP, Direk Cathy Garcia-Sampana was asked about the supposed HLG part two. She said that as fans wanted it to happen, they also wanted the sequel to happen. During the interview, she was with HLG stars Joross Gamboa and Jeffrey Tam.
Then, the director was asked about the rumor that someone hindered this from happening. Eventually, the interviewer mentioned the name of the Supreme Idol. “Hindi naman si Daniel Padilla,” Direk Cathy said debunking the rumor about the actor.
She stressed that Daniel has no right to stop a big project like that from happening. The award-winning director also pointed out that Kathryn has the freedom. “Si Kathryn naman ay may sariling isip. So pag gusto niya, gusto niya,” she said.
Direk Cathy also shared that there is not finality yet when it comes to the Hello, Love, Goodbye sequel but the story can be continued. She also said that just like the movie One More Chance of John Lloyd Cruz and Bea Alonzo, HLG part 2 will also take time.
