PAGASA Says LPA’s Trough and HPA’s Ridge to Affect PH Weather Condition

PAGASA LATEST UPDATE – The state weather bureau reported that LPA’s trough and HPA’s ridge will prevail over most parts of the country.

On Friday (April 5, 2024), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country.  Three weather systems will affect the country’s weather conditions.

PAGASA weather specialist Benison Estareja reported that the trough of a Low-Pressure Area will be affecting Mindanao while the ridge of a High-Pressure Area will extend over the eastern section of Northern Luzon.

“As of two in the morning, itong LPA ay huling namataan sa labas ng PAR 645 kilometers timog-timog silangan ng General Santos City,” said Estareja.

The low-pressure area will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Davao Region and SOCCSKSARGEN.

“Base naman sa ating analysis, hindi ito papasok ng ating area of responsibility ay hindi rin inaasahan na magiging isang bagyo,” he added.

The easterlies and localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over the Bicol region, Northern Samar, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and Romblon.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience similar weather conditions.

The HPA’s ridge will bring clearer skies and hot weather in the eastern section of northern Luzon.
