PAGASA Says HPA & Easterlies to Affect PH Weather Condition
PAGASA – The state weather bureau reported that easterlies and the ridge of HPA will bring scattered rains over parts of the country.
On Thursday (April 4, 2024), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The High-Pressure Area’s ridge and easterlies will affect the country’s weather conditions.
PAGASA weather specialist Benison Estareja reported that the easterlies will be affecting Visayas and Mindanao while the ridge of the High-Pressure Area will extend over the eastern section of Northern Luzon.
The easterlies will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Davao Region and SOCCSKSARGEN.
The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers and/or thunderstorms over Visayas, Palawan, Kalayaan Islands, and Occidental Mindoro.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience similar weather conditions. Overall, generally fair weather conditions are expected in most parts of the country.
“Base naman sa ating latest satellite animation, wala tayong nakikitang bagyo na papasok ng ating Philippine area of responsibility hanggang matapos ang weekend,” said Estareja.
The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.
43 degrees Celsius is expected over Metro Manila. 42 degrees Celsius Heat Index is expected over Dagupan City, Pangasinan; Sangley Point, Cavite; Puerto Princesa City, Palawan; CBSUA-Pili, Camarines Sur; Dumangas, Iloilo; and Zamboanga City, Zamboanga del Sur.
39 degrees Celsius is expected at the Science Garden in Quezon City.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Northern and Central Luzon as well as the rest of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions. PAGASA did not raise a gale warning in any parts of the country.
