Man in Quezon City Arrested for Trying to Rob a Convenience Store
NOVALICHES, QUEZON CITY – A man was arrested for allegedly breaking into a convenience store to steal cash and valuables.
Theft happens when someone takes something that doesn’t belong to them without permission. It’s like borrowing without asking but, in this case, without any intention of giving it back. The item could be big or small, what matters is taking it without the owner’s consent.
When someone enters a building with the intention of stealing, it’s called burglary. This could be a home, an office, or any place where people live or work.
The law takes theft seriously because it involves taking someone’s property without permission. Depending on the value of what’s stolen and other factors, those caught stealing may face consequences such as fines or even imprisonment.
Recently, the authorities successfully apprehended the individual inside the store located in Barangay Nagkaisang Nayon. The suspect was caught red-handed by the police within the premises of the store.
Upon his arrest, authorities found that he had over P25,000 in cash and several packs of cigarettes, believed to be stolen goods.
The entire incident was captured on CCTV, showing the suspect entering and committing the robbery. The footage served as evidence that led to the prompt filing of robbery charges against the individual.
The suspect has been charged with robbery, and he admitted to the crime.
According to Novaliches Police Station commander Police Lieutenant Colonel Reynaldo Vitto, this is not the first time the suspect has been involved in theft. He has three previous robbery cases and one theft case in Caloocan.
