Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime hosts have a very close relationship. They are like a family and among the closest are hosts Vhong Navarro and Billy Crawford. Their tandem is loved for their comedic antics, funny banters, and impressive dance performances.
In a previous report, Billy reacted when Vhong had his temporary freedom.
However, in 2018, Billy resigned from It’s Showtime and transferred to TV5. He hosted a show that rivaled his former noontime show but this is not the reason that made his close friend Vhong have a huff on him.
In a video with Ogie Alcasid, Navarro was asked about this and he revealed the real reason why he had a “tampo” with Crawford before. Recalling the events of that time, he shared something.
“Actually, hindi ako nagtampo nung nakatapat natin siya nung LOL. Totoo to, ah, hindi ako nagtampo. Alam mo kung saan ako nagtampo? Nung nag-resign siya sa Showtime,” he admitted.
According to him, his resignation made him lose a partner. In making this show, they were already told that they were going to be partners, and when he left, he lost one.
“Kaya nung nawala siya, sobrang miss ko siya, hindi lang sa sayaw, sa prod, sa ‘Magpasikat,’ pati dun sa hosting…” he added, But despite this, he understood the reason. He understood why his partner had to come up with that decision.
At that time, many factors were to be considered, and on top of those things was Billy’s role as a family man. He had to focus on his family and spend quality time with his wife Coleen Garcia.
However, also around that time, they were able to talk.
