What will happen to the show of Willie Revillame?
Is it true that veteran TV host Willie Revillame could not find a studio for his game show Wowowin?
Willie has been hosting noontime and game shows for many years already. His Wowowin show was previously airing on ALLTV, the network owned by his friend billionaire businessman Manny Villar.
However, after he resigned from ALLTV, it was reported that he was negotiating with the government-owned TV networks IBC 13 and PTV 4.
Willie Revillame was spotted with the executives of the said TV networks. They wanted a “pang-masa” show on their channels to reach more people, especially in rural areas.
However, months after the negotiation started, there was no development that was shared with the public. Just recently, rumors surfaced that Willie Revillame’s transfer to IBC and PTV will no longer take place.
In an article by entertainment writer Salve Asis in Pilipino Star Ngayon, it was said that IBC and PTV are willing to work with Willie but the problem is that his show has no studio of its own.
Reportedly, the management of Star City refused that Wowowin studio be placed there because it is a free show and most likely fans will flock to the area. It was also said that Willie talked to other two venues but he failed to secure a deal from both. With this, Asis said that most likely, the show will be broadcast through digital platforms.
To recall, back in February, Willie Revillame showed a video showcasing the construction of the Wowowin Studio amid the speculations that it would be discontinued after it took a break. Willie said at that time that this was proof that the show would be back on air.
As of this writing, the veteran TV host has not released a statement yet regarding these speculations about his Wowowin show.
