This Saturday, It’s Showtime will return with big surprises.
Kapamilya noontime show It’s Showtime has finally served its 12-day suspension and will come back with big surprises this October 28.
On July 31, It’s Showtime was called through a notice issued by the Movie and Television Review and Classification Board (MTRCB). This is due to the number of complaints received by the regulatory board regarding the cake scene of hosts Vice Ganda and Ion Perez on the show’s “Isip Bata” segment.
On September 4, ABS-CBN announced that they would be submitting a motion for consideration, however, on September 28, the appeals of Showtime were denied by the MTRCB.
A week after the denial, ABS-CBN announced that the show would be complying with the decision but insisted that they did not violate any law. ABS-CBN promised fans that the noontime show will return “stronger and better than ever” on October 28.
“It’s Your Lucky Day” was launched to fill the slot left by Showtime. In the final episode of this show, the hosts became emotional as they bid their farewell. Luis Manzano was emotional along with the other hosts and welcomed back Showtime.
Manzano said, “Mga ka-Lucky, sabay-sabay po tayyong magdasal. Kapit lang. Sabi nga nilang lahat, malay naman natin this is not goodbye.”
And this Saturday, the Kapamilya noontime show officially returns with big surprises including the grand finals of the Mini Miss U.
In a report from PEP, one of the judges of the well-loved segment shared that some of the biggest stars of the industry will be joining her as a judge.
To recall, the suspension, took effect on October 14. The hosts then used this time to bond in Hong Kong. They went Hong Kong to spend some quality time together. Also, this year, the show celebrates its 14 anniversary.
