PAGASA Releases Latest Weather Update for Wednesday (July 12, 2023)

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that a low-pressure area and the southwest monsoon will affect the country’s weather condition.

On Wednesday (July 12, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The low-pressure area, habagat and the localized thunderstorms will affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the LPA was last spotted at 510 kilometers east northeast of Virac, Catanduanes. The southwest monsoon will be affecting the western sections of Visayas and Mindanao.

“Ito ay nasa karagatan at hindi natin inaalis ang posibilidad na ito ay maging bagyo, bagamat in the next 24 hours ay maliit pa naman ang tiyansa,” weather specialist Obet Badrina said.

The LPA and southwest monsoon will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain showers and thunderstorms over Bicol Region, MIMAROPA, Western Visayas, Zamboanga Peninsula, BARMM, SOCCSKSARGEN, and Quezon.

The southwest monsoon and localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.

The weather agency has warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.

Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Palawan, rest of Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
