PAGASA Says ITCZ, Easterlies and Localized Thunderstorms Will Affect PH Weather Condition
The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that ITCZ and easterlies will bring rains over some parts of the country.
On Friday (July 7, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The Intertropical Convergence Zone and easterlies will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that Intertropical Convergence Zone (ITCZ) will be affecting Palawan while the easterlies will bring cloudy weather condition with scattered rainshowers over the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao.
The ITCZ will bring similar weather condition over southern portion of Palawan.
The easterlies and localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather condition with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms over Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
The weather agency has warned the public for possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains and severe thunderstorms.
However, Pagasa weather specialist Benison Estareja most parts of the country can expect a fair but humid weather conditions due to the high pressure area.
“Patuloy ang mainit at maalinsangang panahon sa malaking bahagi ng ating bansa dulot ng easterlies na siyang nakaka apekto po dito sa malaking bahagi ng Visayas and Mindanao. Asahan pa rin ang mainit na panahon, lalo na sa tanghali na sasamahan ng localized thunderstorms,” Estareja said.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over Luzon, Visayas and Mindanao will be slight to moderate, according to the weather bureau.
