David Licauco was asked about the photo of Barbie Forteza that he took
Kapuso actor David Licauco explained his “ganda ganda naman” comment on actress Barbie Forteza when he took this photo.
David and Barbie became an instant tandem through the defunct series Maria Clara at Ibarra. They were first tagged as the FiLay loveteam from their characters’ names Fidel and Klay.
When the series was over, fans are tagging them as the BarDa tandem which is from the first syllables of their names.
From that accidental pairing, fans saw their undeniably good onscreen chemistry. With this, they are given a follow-up project. They star in the upcoming movie titled That Kind of Love.
While they were on the set of their upcoming film, David Licauco took a photo of his leading lady. In the photo, Barbie Forteza was sitting on a yacht with the sea as her background. The actress was apparently laughing so hard when David captured the photo.
The actor simply captioned his post with a grinning squinting face emoji and tagged the Twitter page of the actress.
Barbie reported this photo and in the caption of her post, she said that she can’t pose properly because David, his photographer, commented, “Ganda ganda naman.”
In a recent interview, based on the article in GMA Entertainment, David Licauco explained the comment he had on Barbie Forteza.
“Nakita ko siya na nakaupo doon and ang ganda ng view. Ako kasi, mahilig ako sa sunset and sa view. Sabi ko lang sa kanya, ‘Can I take a picture of you?’” the actor shared about what happened at that time.
David stressed that what he said is true, that Barbie is beautiful, and that she did not need to do the “awra” pose.
“Totoo naman din kasi ‘yun na maganda nga siya. Sabi ko na lang na act normal lang kasi mas maganda ‘yung natural. Hindi na niya kailangan [umawra]. Sabi niya kasi hindi daw siya maka-awra. I said, ‘Hindi mo na kailangan umawra kasi maganda ka naman na,'” David Licauco said.
