A Touching Gesture of Love: Graduating Student Gives Her Own Shoes to Her Mother
Graduation day is a significant milestone in every student’s life. It represents the culmination of years of hard work, dedication, and sacrifice. It is a moment of triumph and celebration, not only for the graduates themselves but also for their families who have supported them along the way.
Recently, Anne Rose B. Quinto, a graduating student from Bago City College, made a heartwarming gesture during her graduation ceremony by giving her own shoes to her mother.
This gesture of kindness occurred when Anne Rose’s shoes got damaged as they prepared to approach the stage.
Despite the setback, Anne Rose, who successfully completed her Bachelor of Secondary Education major in Mathematics, decided to walk the stage with her fellow graduates during the Investiture of Hoods program, which was part of the Education Department’s Practicum Graduation.
Anne Rose’s mother, Girlie Quinto, 52 years old and a mother of eight, witnessed her daughter’s achievement. Their family resides in Luzuriaga Sayo Street, Barangay 30, Bacolod City, and her father works as a fish vendor.
The Quinto family’s financial circumstances may not have been ideal, but that didn’t deter Anne Rose from pursuing her dreams.
The act of giving her shoes to her mother became a profound testament to Anne Rose’s love and gratitude for her supportive mother, who stood by her side throughout her educational journey.
This selfless act exemplifies the values instilled in Anne Rose by her parents, emphasizing the importance of family, sacrifice, and unconditional love.
