PTV invited TVJ
PTV General Manager Dr. Julio O. Castillo Jr. said that TVJ is welcome to the government television network after they announced that they decided to depart from TAPE Inc.
Tito Sotto, Vic Sotto, and Joey de Leon led the Eat Bulaga family in announcing that they bid goodbye to their show’s producer on May 31, 2023. This saddened a lot of solid Dabarkads, as well as several celebrities who became part of the show.
Following that viral announcement from the legendary trio, PTV said that they are welcome to join the network, based on the article in Manila Bulletin.
“Tito, Vic, and Joey, welcome na welcome po ang ‘Eat Bulaga’ rito sa PTV4. Kayo po ay isa sa mga institusyon na nagsusulong ng kulturang Pilipino, nagsusulong ng edukasyon para sa mga Pilipino, at nagtataas ng mga value ng mga Pilipino. Kaya welcome na welcome kayo rito,” Castillo said.
He also invited the trio if there is a possibility to meet and talk with them. The TV executive also offered a possible partnership with Tito, Vic, and Joey.
Castillo also shared that he admired the effort of Eat Bulaga to promote recycling as he is an advocate for the environment. To recall, the longest-running noontime show had the segment Juan For All in which they would gather recyclable bottles from residents of barangays they were visiting and convert these to school chairs.
Meanwhile, TVJ has not released a statement yet regarding their next move after leaving TAPE. However, in their statement on Wednesday, they assured the fans that they will continue. Joey even said they are not signing off, they just took a day off.
