Sarah Geronimo featured new backup dancers for her 20th-anniversary concert
Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo thanked popular dance group G-Force during her 20th-anniversary concert at the Araneta Coliseum amid the rumors that she and choreographer Teacher Georcelle Dapat-Sy have a conflict.
The rumors started to circulate when it was noticed by many that Sarah’s backup dancers during her performance at the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup Draw were not G-Force, the dance group established by Teacher Georcelle.
For many years, and countless performances, Sarah has worked with the said popular dance group. Allegedly, the rumored conflict was the reason why the choreography for the song Tala was changed.
Previously, Matteo Guidicelli, the husband of Sarah Geronimo, confirmed that G-Force would not perform at the concert and that they had no participation.
Amid this issue, a video of Sarah circulated online in which she was thanking Teacher Georcelle’s dance group. Twitter user @lemonsaysit shared a video taken during the concert.
“G-Force, thank you G-Force! I love you!” Sarah said while gesturing for flying kisses. The backup dancers beside and behind her were clapping and cheering.
In the comment section, a fan said that issues should be stopped already. “Oh Tama na ang Issue mga sawsawera! nag thank you pa nga! Kayo talaga,” Twitter user @123456Respect commented.
Another fan commented that it would be much better if Sarah’s backup dancers were those from G-Force. “Mas maganda sana to kung gforce medyo makalat backup dancers nya kasi pilit pinagsisiksikan lahat di gaya sa gforce.. pero maganda concert yun backup dancers lang medyo sumablay para sakin,” Twitter user @jesmc21 said.
Meanwhile, Sarah Geronimo’s husband, Matteo Guidicelli, recently shared in an interview that they are ready to have their first child.
