Sarah Geronimo New ‘Tala’ Choreography, Here’s the Rumored Reason Behind

Why did Sarah Geronimo showcase a different choreography for her song ‘Tala’?

Popstar Royalty Sarah Geronimo performed her song Tala during the 2023 FIBA Basketball World Cup Draw and it has a new choreography that was so different from the choreography that became a TikTok dance craze.

Tala regained popularity when netizens started to share their own dance covers and eventually, this became a trend on social media. However, Sarah showcased different dance moves.

Because of this rumors surfaced that there is a conflict between Sarah and G-Force choreographer Teacher Georcelle Dapat-Sy, based on the article in PEP.

Many noticed that the backup dancers of Sarah Geronimo during her performance are no longer G-Force dancers. For the longest time, the singer-actress has been working with the dance group and Teacher Georcelle.

PEP writer Noel Ferrer shared that from what he heard, it was not really a rift but just a creative difference. It was said that Sarah wanted more dancers in order to fill the stage at the Araneta Coliseum.

However, this is not what Teacher Georcelle wanted to do. With this, the choreographer pulled out her dancers, and the G-Force’s choreography was not used in Sarah’s Tala performance.

Entertainment writer Jerry Olea asked to whom the choreography rights belong – if the choreographer owns it or Viva who commissioned and paid the choreographer.
