Lolit Solis On Gladys Reyes Not Mentioning Her In Acceptance Speech

Veteran showbiz writer Lolit Solis, who is also a talent manager reacted to those who are questioning why Summer Metro Manila Film Festival 2023 Best Actress Glady Reyes’s acceptance speech did not include her name.

Lolit is managing the careers of some of the prominent personalities in the entertainment industry. However, people noticed that Gladys did not mention her when she accepted her first Best Actress award for the movie Apag.

In a recent writeup on her Instagram page, Lolit addressed this issue. She said that this is not a big deal for her.

“Natatawa ako pag tinatanong bakit daw hindi ako nabanggit ni Gladys Reyes sa kanyang speech sa Best Actress,” Lolit Solis said. The writer/talent manager stressed that during this kind of moment, it is natural for people to feel “taranta” and would have mental block.

She also stressed that this is not an issue on her part and the important thing for her is that Gladys won Best Actress. Lolit said that this is Glady’s longtime dream.

The actress has already spent decades of her love in the entertainment industry but this is her first Best Actress, because most of the time, her role is “kontrabida,” based on the article in Bandera. In 2014, Gladys won her first Best Supporting Actress award for the movie Magkakabaung.

The writer/talent manager also expressed gratitude to the movie Apag for giving Gladys this kind of opportunity. “Salamat sa Apag na bida si Coco Martin at produced ni Direk Brilliantr dahil at last napansin ang acting ni Gladys Reyes,” Lolit Solis said.

She is also hoping that this will be just the start of more good projects for Gladys. Lolit congratulated Gladys and she said that the actress deserves the Best Actress Award.
