PNP Identified the Suspect DSLU Student Leanne Daguinsin Slay

The Philippine National Police (PNP) has identified the suspect in graduating De La Salle University (DLSU) student Leanne Daguinsin slay.

The identity of the Daguinsin suspect who was discovered deceased inside a dormitory in Dasmarias City, Cavite, has been determined. According to the Dasmarias CPS report, the suspect was identified as Angelito Erlano y Lacerna, alias Kulet, a resident of the city’s Barangay San Nicolas 2.

Erlano is the prime suspect in the death of a 22-year-old DLSU Computer Science student. Daguinsin was discovered dead with 14 stab wounds on her torso around 4:40 p.m., last Saturday at the Rolisa Dormitory in Dasmarias City, Cavite (Blk 6 Lot 5 Brgy Sta Fe) according to the report.

Daguinsin Slay Suspect

The suspect was identified as a consequence of a hot pursuit operation conducted by the Dasmarias City Police (CPS) and the Cavite Police Intelligence Unit based on the retracing of closed-circuit television (CCTV) footage from the location of his house in Brgy. Dasmarias City and its identity, San Nicolas 2, according to the report of GMA News.

His black shorts with a white stripe, a blue t-shirt with the logo Eagle, and a black backpack presumed to be the victim’s things were recovered at the crime scene. According to the suspect’s relatives, he did not return home because his family shunned him after he assaulted his uncle’s child.

The reward is over P1,100,000 or placed on the head of the suspect who can provide information on its whereabouts from Governor Jonvic Remulla (P300,000); Senator Bong Revilla (P300,000); Dasmarinas City Government (P300,000); and Mayor Jenny Barzaga and Congressman Pidi Barzaga (P100,000 each). The suspect was also charged with a robbery last year, according to information obtained.
