Barangay Kagawad Suspect

Earlier, the suspect, Rolly Algarne Y Ibanez, shot Jesus Carmona, a 47-year-old Parola, Tondo, Manila resident, inside a beer house. Surveillance caught the man with a gun hidden behind his back, based on the report.

He then shot the victim on the table. Carmona rose up and tried to leave, but Algarme shot him again, knocking him down. According to Lieutenant Colonel Leandro Guttierez of the Manila Police District – Ermita, three bullets struck the kagawad, one in hand, one in the thigh, and one in the back.

Donna Sabenencio, a waitress, was also injured and is now being treated at the hospital. A stray bullet hit the woman next to Carmona. The man fled in a car, but police captured him after he became stuck in traffic. Algarme had no choice but to give up.

The defendant is claimed to have become enraged when he approached Carmona because his car was trapped in front of the beer house and the victim told him there was nothing he could do. The suspect is currently being investigated by the prosecutor’s office in Manila.
