PAGASA Says Fair Weather Condition is Expected Nationwide
LATEST WEATHER UPDATE – The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that fair weather condition is expected nationwide.
On Thursday (March 9, 2023), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. The northeast monsoon will affect the country’s weather condition.
PAGASA reported that the northeast monsoon will be affecting Luzon. It will bring partly cloudy to cloudy weather condition with light rain over Luzon and Western Visayas.
Western Visayas, Occidental Mindoro, and Palawan including Kalayaan will experience similar weather condition.
The localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over the rest of Visayas and Mindanao.
The weather agency has advised the residents in the affected areas to take precautionary measures for possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.
Meanwhile, the coastal water condition over eastern section of the country will be moderate to rough. The rest of the country will have slight to moderate surrounding sea conditions.
PAGASA is monitoring a possible low pressure area off Mindanao outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, which may trigger rainfall over the weekend, according to weather specialist Benison Estareja.
“Habang meron po tayong namataang isang circulation dito sa labas ng Philippine area of responsibility na siyang posibleng maging low pressure area sa mga susunod na araw,” Estareja said.
Overall, fair weather with partly cloudy to cloudy skies and isolated rain showers are expected nationwide.
“Inaasahang unti-unting lalapit ito dito sa PAR line dito po sa silangang Mindanao, As early as Sunday ng hapon ay posibleng magpa-ulan na dito sa eastern side of Mindanao particularly sa Caraga and Davao Region,” Estareja added.
