Karaoker Bar Employee Shot Dead in Cebu City, Gunman Remains Unidentified
A karaoke bar employee selling spaghetti across Barangay Calamba, Cebu City passed away after suffering gunshot wounds.
Over the past few decades, the rate of criminality continues to increase not only in the Philippines but also in various regions all around the world. The government and the authorities are imposing stricter policies but crimes are still happening.
On Thursday (February 2, 2023), a karaoke bar worker identified as Orlando Ordez of Sitio Sampaguita, Barangay Capitol Site, Cebu City has been shot dead near Quijano compound in Barangay Calamba, Cebu City.
According to Sawang Calero Police Station 6 Staff Sergeant Leigh Vincent Gonzalve, the victim is roaming around Barangay Calamba to sell spaghetti. However, no one bought his product and decided to buy a bottle of Red Horse beer.
Unfortunately, the unidentified gunman shot the victim in his legpit and arm. The suspect immediately escapes after committing the crime. The gunman’s identity remains unknown as of this writing.
The authorities found the suspect’s belt bag containing shells of 9mm pistol, toy gun, a handcuff, and six sachets of suspected illegal drugs. The cops look at personal grudge as the suspect’s motive in killing the victim.
Ordez’s mother named Merly revealed that the victim has been jailed for 15 years at the National Bilibid Prison in Muntinlupa City for an illegal drug case.
