Man Running for Councilor in Iloilo Shot 2 Neighbor Siblings to Death

2 siblings were killed after being shot by their neighbor running for councilor in Iloilo after mocking him that he will lose in the 2022 elections.

Ronald Causing, 50, a councilor candidate from Pili village, was identified as the suspect by the Philippine National Police (PNP) of Ajuy town. He allegedly shot and killed his two neighbors, Edmon Articulo, 36, and Ramon Articulo, 22, according to the report.

The brothers were allegedly drunk and shouting outside Causing’s house, according to the police investigation. According to the siblings, Causing’s candidacy for the next 2022 elections will not be successful.

The two siblings allegedly mocked him, according to Causing. As a result, he went outside with a gun and opened fire on the siblings. According to police, an enraged Causing shot him in the chest.

Edmon witnessed the incident and attempted to assist his brother. According to the authorities, he was also shot. According to the report, the two victims died immediately as a result of deadly wounds sustained as a result of the Causing shooting.

Edmon had nine gunshot wounds on his feet, three on his chest, three on his thighs, and three on his buttocks. The brothers were airlifted to Sara District Hospital, where they were pronounced dead.

Causing and the Articulo brothers had a long-standing grudge against each other, according to police. Causing had previously filed a blotter report with the Ajuy police department, alleging that his siblings were attempting to fight him.

Following the gunshot, the suspect ran in an unknown direction. Causing has yet to be apprehended. The authorities are currently launching a manhunt for the fugitive suspect.
