Paolo Contis Biggest Fear: “For Daughters To Hate Me”

“Takot na takot.” Paolo Contis shares his biggest fear.

PAOLO CONTIS – In an interview, Paolo Contis shares that his biggest fear is for his daughters to actually hate him.

It is not a secret that Paolo Contis doesn’t have a really close relationship with his daughters – two with his ex-wife Lian Paz and one with actress LJ Reyes. His two daughters, Xonia at Xalene, are based in Cebu with their mother along with their stepfather while Summer is currently abroad with Reyes.

And one of his biggest fears in his life is for his daughters to hate him.

In an interview with Boy Abunda on his show on GMA, he opened up about this part of his personal life and admitted that, for now, he is not sending support to them. But he is saving. He is saving for his three daughters and he hopes that he could meet them one day and give them straight what he has saved for them.

He also expressed that healing and forgiveness will take time. He admitted that he lacked maturity before the reason why those things happened. And it was just when he turned 39 years old that he realized he was not getting any younger. He realized that he is too old to commit a mistake and he is fixing it.

The last time he saw Xonia and Xalene was around six to seven years ago while he has not seen Summer for two years now.

“But as I always say, forgiveness takes time. Healing takes time, and I’m giving that to LJ,” he said.

He was then asked by the interviewer: “Hindi ka natatakot na isang araw, magagalit ang iyong mga anak?”

The actor quipped “takot na takot”. He wants to make it up to them, especially to his two daughters. He loves them equally but his fear is overpowering that love. He acknowledged the reality that they did not grow up with him.

“Kung pag-uusapan yung love, sobrang love ko sila. Pero you know, ako, feeling ko, reality lang. Hindi naman na sa akin lumaki, especially si Xonia at Xalene, di ba? So, yung para ma-hate nila ako, yun ang pinaka-fear ko,” he expressed.
