Athletes in Palawan Bring Laughter Online Wear Diapers During Basketball Game
PALAWAN – A group of athletes wear diapers during a basketball game at Brgy. Dumarao in the town of Roxas, Palawan.
Basketball is a team sport in which two teams, most commonly of five players each, opposing one another on a rectangular court, compete with the primary objective of shooting a basketball. It is considered one of the most popular sports games worldwide.
A Facebook user named Loliton Jr Mangubat has shared photos of several athletes wearing diapers during the championship match of a basketball game. The post immediately spread like a wildfire online and elicits comments from netizens.
The championship game between Team Bangers and Team Poison at Brgy. Dumarao in Roxas, Palawan garnered reactions from internet users because of Team Bangers’ unique attire during the match.
The team organizers identified as Alvin Dela Torre and Sherwin Jagmis allowed the athletes to wear diapers once they reached the finals. The organizers did it just for fun and as a way to celebrate the group’s achievements.
Mangubat thinks to wear the same outfit again next year. The friendship game tournament with Brgy. Dumarao is held every New Year’s Day.
“Katuwaan lng po nila.Actually isa din po akong player na sumali sa friendship game,ung usapan po ng management kung cnu ung team na maglalaro sa championship game cla ung mag susuot ng diaper at pumayag nman po kami.” Mangubat said.
