Employee Stabs Business Owner for Allegedly Failing to Give His Salary On Time

A business owner suffered wounds and injuries after being stabbed by his own employee for allegedly failing to give his salary on time.

A 64-year-old businessman identified as Edgardo Manggay from Malabon City suffered multiple stab wounds after being stabbed by his 22-year-old employee a couple of times. the suspect lost his temper after Manggay reportedly failed to give his salary.

“Sabi ng kuya sakin nanghihingi daw ng sahod P300, eh sabi ng kuya wala pa akong pera mamaya na lang. pero mali ho yung balita yung sinasabi nilang Christmas bonus, mali ho yun” Yolanda Frisnedi, the victim’s sister said.

The employer was able to escape and called a tricycle to go to the hospital. The latter has been rushed to Tondo Medical Center after suffering nine stab wounds due to the incident. The victim is now in stable condition.

Barangay watchmen also respond and were able to arrest the suspect. The culprit has been brought to the barangay hall but he can’t move or speak.

“Actually, kahit yung mga kamag-anak niya hindi siya maka-usap para siyang tulala siguro nagkaroon siya ng shock dahil sa first time niya sigurong nagawa ito,” MalabonSub Station 6 Commander P/Maj Carlos Cosme.

The victim’s relatives wanted the suspect to undergo a drug test. The suspect will face a frustrated murder case after committing the crime.
