Phivolcs Releases Bulletin about Earthquake Davao del Sur w/ 3.2 Magnitude

EARTHQUAKE DAVAO DEL SUR – The Phivolcs recorded a 3.2 magnitude earthquake in Magsaysay, November 19, 2022 and here are the details.

Most of the time, quakes hit with no prior signs. Recently, several places in and out of the Philippines were shaken by quakes of different magnitudes.

One of the strong quakes recorded by Phivolcs was the 7.1 magnitude quake in Davao Oriental. There were expected aftershocks due to the said quake and a tsunami advisory was released then.

Previously, Phivolcs also recorded a quake in a part of Zambales. It had a magnitude of 6.1. Strong shaking was felt leaving people fearing about the so-called “Big One“. But the agency advises the people to wait for factual information and not to panic.

Recently, a quake hit a part of Davao del Sur, November 19, 2022. At 06:04 a.m., Magsaysay was hit by an earthquake with a magnitude of 3.2.

Earthquake Agusan Del Sur

According to Phivolcs, the earthquake that hit a part of Davao del Sur was located at 06.72°North, 125.07°East – 010 km South 69° West of Magsaysay  with a depth of origin of 012 kilometers.

Phivolcs stated in its bulletin that damages are not expected from the said quake as well as aftershocks. Furthermore, no intensity was felt at the epicenter of the quake as well as the nearby areas. Instrumental Intensity I was recorded at Tupi and Koronadal City in South Cotabato.
