Former OFW Couple Shares Inspiring Story After Reaching Dream Through Hardwork
INSPIRING STORY – A former OFW couple became a direct importer of their own products after spending years of hard work.
A Facebook user named Saundra Del Rosario Arciaga has shared her inspiring story from being an Overseas Filipino Worker to a direct importer. The post earned praise and admiration from the netizens.
Arciaga narrated that she and her husband Ariz Arciaga was formerly working as OFWs in Dubai but returned to the Philippines last February 2020, a month before the COVID-19 pandemic has been declared.
The couple started a small business using their savings and tried “ihaw-ihaw”. Unfortunately, their ihaw-ihaw venture closed after three months. Ariz has decided to work as a delivery rider.
In March 2021, Saundra used their P1, 500 savings to buy kimchi and nori the sell it in nearby houses. The business sits well and they start to earn and save cash. After a year and a half of hard work, the couple became a distributor and direct importer of their own product.
