WALANG PASOK – Various local government units have declared class suspensions due to inclement weather conditions brought on by Tropical Storm Paeng.

Over the past few days, Tropical Storm Paeng has been lashing the country with strong winds and heavy rains. The inclement weather condition causes flooding and landslides in some parts of the country.

Tropical Storm Paeng has been last spotted 410 kilometers east of Borongan City, Eastern Samar. It has maximum sustained winds of 75 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 90 kph.

Class Suspensions

Tropical Cyclone Wind Signal (TCWS) No. 2 and TCWS No. 1 have been raised in several areas. Paeng is expected to bring heavy to intense with at times torrential rains in several areas.

PAGASA said that Paeng may intensify while moving over the warm waters of the Philippine Sea.

On Friday (October 28, 2022), some local government units declared class suspensions due to the inclement weather condition brought on by tropical Storm Paeng. The cancellation of classes has been declared to ensure the safety of both students and school personnel.
