WALANG PASOK – Various local government units have declared class suspensions in several areas due to bad weather condition.

Tropical Depression Paeng has been lashing the country with strong winds and heavy rains over the past few days. The weather disturbance has been last spotted 660 kilometers east of Borongan City, Eastern Samar.

Paeng has maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour near the center and gustiness of up to 70 kph. However, it may strengthen while moving over the warm waters of the Philippine Sea.

Class Suspensions

PAGASA has raised Tropical cyclone Wind Signal No. 1 in several areas due to inclement weather condition. Possible flash floods and landslides are expected over some parts of the country.

On Thursday (October 27, 2022), several local government units declared class suspensions due to the inclement weather condition brought on by Tropical Depression Paeng. The suspension of classes has been declared to ensure the safety of both students and school personnel.
