Video of Transwoman Calling Out Clothing Chain For Prohibiting Her to Use Female Fitting Room Goes Viral
A transwoman named Louis Marasigan has called out an international clothing chain for prohibiting her to use a female fitting room.
A transgender woman named Louis Marasigan who also served as a municipal councilor of San Juan, Batangas has called out a branch of the international clothing chain Zara in Taguig City for allegedly discriminating against her.
Marasigan called out the clothing chain branch for refusing to let her use the female fitting room. The employee told her to transfer to the male’s fitting room and explained that she was not allowed to use the lady’s dressing room.
“May lumapit sa’king babae sabi ‘Sir, sa taas po kayo.’ Sabi ko, ‘Bakit po?’ Sabi niya kasi yung fitting room daw ng lalaki dun sa taas,” Marasigan said.
The transwoman bursts into tears while narrating the incident. The latter said that she never felt so discriminated in her entire life. She also discourages her fellow LGBTQ members to visit the establishment.
Louis also expressed her disappointment to the store manager whose also a member of LGBTQ for not defending her.
