What will Paul Soriano do as a creative communications adviser?
Filmmaker Paul Soriano was appointed by President Bongbong Marcos as the Presidential Adviser on Creative Communications and here is his job description.
On October 17, the oath-taking ceremony was hailed and Paul was joined by his wife actress-hos Toni Gonzaga and their son Seve. The director was one of the key people in PBBM’s campaign.

He directed the President’s campaign ads while his wife hosted the campaign rallies in various parts of the country. Paul is the nephew of First Lady Liza Araneta-Marcos through her first cousin Gines Soriano.
In a social media post, Paul shared that he is honored to be given the chance to serve the country and the President. His wife also expressed how proud she is of him.
Based on the article in Interaksiyon, as the presidential adviser on creative communications, Paul Soriano will “advise the chief executive and assist departments and agencies, including government-owned and controlled corporations, on matters that will enhance their information dissemination programs and initiatives.”
This is a new post in the administration of Pres. Marcos. Previous presidents did not have this kind of officer under them.

Prior to his oath-taking as the presidential adviser on creative communications, the director revealed that he was offered to replace Trixie Cruz-Angeles as the press secretary. However, Paul did not accept this offer. “I can be of better service behind the scenes working with the president‘s media and communications team,” he said.
Just like during the election season, Paul Soriano also received negative reactions about his new position in the government. There were those who attacked him for taking a job in the government but will just waste people’s money.
However, it was earlier clarified that the award-winning director will just have an annual salary of P1.
