Paul Soriano Salary As Presidential Adviser for Creative Communications

This is how much Paul Soriano will receive for his new government post.

PAUL SORIANO – Film director Paul Soriano is the new Presidential Adviser for Creative Communications and this is his salary.

Previously, film director Paul Soriano was tapped to direct Pres. Bongbong Marcos Jr.’s first State of the Nation Address (SONA). He is among the most active personalities in supporting the current president during his campaign.

In a previous article, he was offered the press secretary position but decline to accept the government post. He believes that this position needs someone who is more qualified. He expressed that he can be of better service to the president if he was on the media and communications team.

And just recently, it has been announced that he is the new Presidential Adviser on Creative Communications as appointed by the president. He took his oath before the president on October 17.

Pursuant to Republic Acts (RA) No. 6758 or the “Compensation and Position Classification Act of 1989” and 11466 or the “Salary Standardization Law of 2019”, he shall have a salary of at least Php 273,278.00 monthly (SG 31) as Presidential Adviser.

Accordingly, Salary Grade 31 ” is assigned to Senators and Members of the House of Representatives and those with equivalent rank as follows: the Executive Secretary, Department Secretary, Presidential Spokesman, Ombudsman, Press Secretary, Presidential Assistant with Cabinet Rank, Presidential Adviser, National Economic and Development Authority Director General, Court of Appeals Presiding Justice, Sandiganbayan Presiding Justice, Secretary of the Senate, Secretary of the House of Representatives, and President of the University of the Philippines.”

However, in a report from GMA, PBBM said, “And that is what Paul Soriano has already been doing in his career as a filmmaker. And now we have asked him to help us at one peso per year.”

The office of the Press Secretary said that Soriano’s task is to advise Marcos and assist government-owned and controlled corporations, departments, and agencies in improving their initiatives and programs in disseminating information.

Soriano is the nephew of the first lady.
