Typhoon Karding Death Toll: NDRRMC Releases Details

TYPHOON KARDING DEATH TOLL – The National Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (NDRRMC) spoke on the deaths caused by typhoon Karding.

Heavy rains was experienced in several areas in the Philippines due to Super Typhoon Karding. According NDRRMC spokesperson and Civil Defense Deputy Administrator for Operations Assistant Secretary Bernardo Rafaelito Alejandro, currently, 8 deaths were recorded due to the calamity. Based on a report on ABS-CBN News, the fatalities include the 5 rescuers who died in a flash flood in Bulacan, 2 deaths were recorded in Zambales, and a person died in Quezon province. As estimate of P160 million in agricultural damage was caused by the typhoon.

PAGASA Releases Latest Update on Typhoon Karding

The state weather bureau PAGASA reported that Typhoon Karding will continue to bring an inclement weather condition over some parts of the country.

On Monday (September 26, 2022), the Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration released the latest weather update in the country. Karding will continue to affect the country’s weather condition.

PAGASA reported that the Typhoon Karding has been last spotted at 190 km West of Dagupan City, Pangasinan. It has maximum sustained winds of 140 kilometers per hour and gustiness of up to 170 kph.

Karding has strong to typhoon-force winds extending outwards up to 270 kph. It is expected to leave the Philippine Area of Responsibility on Monday evening. It may slightly weaken as it moves away from the landmass of Luzon.

The typhoon will bring moderate to heavy with at times intense rains over Zambales, Bataan, and Lubang Islands. Occasional to monsoon rains are expected over the western sections of Central Luzon, Southern Luzon, and Visayas,
