Vhong Navarro Case - Actor Insists Innocence, Admits Infidelity

Taguig prosecutors file rape case vs Vhong Navarro but the actor insists he’s innocent.

VHONG NAVARRO – Taguig City prosecutors filed a criminal case against Vhong Navarro and this is what the actor said about this.

Kapamilya actor-host Vhong Navarro faced a criminal case over the alleged rape of model Deniece Cornejo in 2014. Taguig City prosecutors filed a criminal case before the court against the actor and in the information filed, the actor was accused of intoxicating and abusing the model in her condo unit in Taguig.

In a previous article, the Court of Appeals (CA) stated that the Department of Justice (DOJ) has been erroneous in denying the concern of the model complainant. To recall, the cases filed by Cornejo were junked due to inconsistencies in her claims and for lack of probable cause.

Meanwhile, with the resurfacing of the cases, the actor insisted and maintained his innocence. He stressed that the accusations are not true and even swore to God about this. He even added that he’s always been so consistent in his statements and that his only mistake during that time was infidelity to his girlfriend back then who is now his wife.

Based on an interview with ANC, “Ang pagkakasala ko, ang kasalanan ko dito ay noong niloko ko ang girlfriend ko, at ito na yung wife ko ngayon.”

Way back in 2018, Cornejo and her former boyfriend-businessman Cedric Lee were convicted due to grave coercion charges filed by Navarro. What clearly happened back then was the actor got mauled and detained by their group.

Navarro even claimed before that they forced him to write a police blotter where he falsely admitted to doing the deed to the model.

On the other hand, the camp of Cornejo has not issued any statement yet regarding the resurfacing of the cases against the actor.
