Billy Crawford is happy to be back in the Kapuso network
Singer-host Billy Crawford said that he is the “pambansang katrabaho” and this is the reason why he used this tag for himself.
Billy achieved international stardom and when he pursued a career in the Philippines, it is a success as well. Being in the entertainment industry since he was a child, he has become knowledgeable when it comes to the “ins and outs” of showbiz.
This year, he was given an opportunity to return to GMA through the show The Wall Philippines. He basically started his career in the Kapuso network through the late star maker German Moreno. Previously, Billy visited the office of Kuya Germs and he felt nostalgic upon seeing the things and staff of his father in showbiz.
Prior to this, Billy transferred to TV5 from ABS-CBN. In the Kapatid network, he was featured in the noontime show Lunch Out Loud, the rival show of his former show on the Kapamilya network, It’s Showtime.
Having the chance to work with the three major TV networks in the Philippines, Billy Crawford called himself “pambansang katrabaho,” based on the article in Bandera. The actor-host also shared that he will never get tired of saying that he feels very welcomed in the Kapuso network.
“I feel na my home was renovated. ’Yun lang ‘yung pakiramdam ko,” Billy said. He also said that GMA is his home since he was four years old. This hosting stint that he has now, through the collaboration between Viva and GMA, makes him a freelance artist and gives him the opportunity to work with anyone in the industry. For the singer-singer, this project is such a blessing.
“Lahat naman may kapamilya, may kapatid, may kapuso. Ako ay ‘Pambansang Katrabaho,” he said. Billy Crawford jokingly apologized that people would see him everyday on TV because of his shows.
