Billy Crawford returns to the Kapuso network
Singer-host Billy Crawford made his GMA comeback and he shared his thoughts on his return to his home network after many years.
Before going to ABS-CBN and later on, being part of the Kapatid network, Billy was first seen in TV shows on the Kapuso network. He was one of the stars who became the “anak-anakan” of star builder German Moreno, also known as Kuya Germs.
Following his international stints, doing albums and concerts abroad, Billy returned to GMA for his show back in 2007 titled Move! The Billy Crawford’s Search For Pinoy Dancers. Later on, he transferred to the Kapamilya network and became one of the hosts of the noontime show It’s Showtime.
In 2020, Billy joined the Kapatid network through the noontime show Lunch Out Loud. Just recently, it was announced that he is returning to GMA through the show The Wall Philippines. Talking to GMANetwork.com, Billy said shared that this opportunity to return to the Kapuso network is a blessing for him.
“Napakalaking biyaya, napakalaking blessing ang dumating para sa The Wall Philippines and specially para sa akin kasi para akong bumalik sa lumang bahay ko ‘yun ‘yung pakiramdam,” the singer-host said. He revealed that he was surprised by this because he did not see it coming. Nevertheless, he is excited about this stint.
Billy shared that he immediately accepted the offer to be the host of the said show when he knew that this will be aired on GMA. He said that Viva Entertainment head Vic del Rosario is his boss, he is practically following what is told to him.
On the other hand, the singer-host said, “But ‘yun naman ang request ko e, kung saan ako mapadpad ng trabaho e, doon ako pupunta kaya nung nakuha ng GMA at ng Viva ang The Wall Philippines at ni-retain pa rin ako as host, napakalaking karangalan for me.”
Meanwhile, in a recent social media post, Billy Crawford revealed that he will be joining the Dancing with the Stars competition in France. His friends in the entertainment industry wished him well for this international stint.
