Singer-host Billy Crawford shared what he realized when he visited the office of the late star maker German Moreno.
Billy returned to the Kapuso network after many years through the show The Wall Philippines. In a previous statement, he said that this opportunity is a big blessing for him. He is thankful for this new hosting stint on GMA.
In a recent article in GMA Entertainment, Billy said that this is his first time to be in GMA physically without his “tatay-tatayan” in showbiz. He is among the many stars who received help from Kuya Germs when they were starting their career in the entertainment industry.
When Billy Crawford visited the office of Kuya Germs he acknowledged all the people there who loved the late star builder and continued to keep his things and memorabilia intact. Among the things that were still there were his trophies and his iconic sequin vest.
When asked what he felt to be in GMA again after two decades, he shared that he is elated to see the staff of Kuya Germs and the Kapuso executives. “Maluha-luha pa rin because when you are there sa presence ni Kuya Germs kasi, lahat ng generosity, lahat ng puso, lahat ng aral sa tarabahong ito ay matutunan mo kasi isang malaking [personalidad] ang nawala nung nawala si Kuya Germs,” the singer-host shared.
He also said that he feels a bit sad that it was his first time to be there after 20 years. When Kuya Germs was still alive, every time he had TV appeared on the Kapuso network or when he visits, they would always meet and spend time together.
“Doon ko na-realize sa taas, ‘Teka, oo nga ‘no, wala kong tatay na escort dito ngayon.’ So, it was an eye-opener pero nakakaaliw lang na nandoon pa rin ‘yung sequin vest niya ‘tsaka ‘yung jacket niya,” Billy Crawford said.
With this, the singer-host said that the presence of Kuya Germs will always be there, and all his advice and the joy he brought will always be remembered.
